ABOUT
Three part woven driftwood installation series. Vernacular architecture out of place.

The structure was built on three occasions, from driftwood gathered from the shores of Lake King William. Here the lake’s transformation into a hydro dam to fuel Tasmania’s modernist development causes excessive deposits of driftwood to pile up, providing a seemingly endless resource. The structure was first built onshore and then transported and rebuilt/rewoven in two urban sites on the brink of development.
